ABOUT THE Mentor 

Tenesha Jedkins Smith is a licensed dyslexia therapist, certified academic language therapist (CALT) and reading specialist with 16+ years of teaching experience. She has worked in elementary classrooms as a lead teacher in addition to providing small group and individual reading intervention in a school setting and private practice. As the founder and executive director of Right To Read, Tenesha is passionate about serving the community by providing individualized reading instruction to at-risk students and is excited to support educators in their journey of taking their students and instruction that will lead to literacy and life success.
