Right to Read x IMSE COHORT
ABOUT right to read

Right To Read is a Houston-based nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that every student develops the literacy skills needed to succeed.
Our mission is to empower every student with essential literacy skills through supportive, accessible, and community-centered reading programs.
Through direct reading intervention, family advocacy, and educator training, Right To Read works to close reading gaps and increase access to evidence-based literacy instruction.

Training educators is one of the most powerful ways we expand our impact. By supporting instructors in developing strong structured literacy practices, we are able to reach and support more students in our community.
our partnership with IMSE
Right To Read has partnered with the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) to expand access to high-quality structured literacy training.

IMSE is a nationally recognized leader in Orton-Gillingham–based training programs. Their approach provides educators with practical, research-based tools for teaching reading, spelling, and written language through explicit, systematic instruction.

Through this partnership, Right To Read is able to offer cohort participants access to IMSE’s nationally recognized curriculum and training, along with mentorship and guidance throughout the certification pathway.

Our goal is to help build a growing network of highly trained literacy instructors who are prepared to support struggling readers in schools and communities.
